I love doing photo shoots in downtown Norfolk. There are so many interesting places to photograph. I decided to do a Fall Urban photo shoot so of course I chose downtown Norfolk for the location. I photographed Skye and three other senior models for the shoot. Skye was a natural in front of the camera. I can't wait to photograph her again, such a lovely girl.
I've been wanting to do a Halloween photo shoot for a long time. So I put together this styled senior session with Morgan & Meighan. I decided to do the shoot in Richmond, VA at Hollywood Cemetery. Hollywood Cemetery is an old historic cemetery in Richmond with lots of trees, hills and really old statuary. It was a perfect location for a Halloween photo shoot.
Today's blog is all about Senior Portrait Products and how to choose the right products for you and your senior. I have been a portrait photographer for about 20 years and have been specializing in senior portraits for the last 5 years. I've learned a lot over the years and have seen many changes in the industry. Senior portrait products have definitely changed since I first started.
PRINTS & IMAGE BOXES
Prints have always been popular and still are very popular today. There are lots of sizes to choose from and the print quality that I offer my clients is outstanding and definitely worth every penny. Another great item clients love is a Custom Image Box. The image box holds a 5x7 print of every image from your senior session and is customized with images and text on the front, back and sides of the box. A great choice for storing your prints.
If you're Interested in wall art there are a few different products that my clients love. Standouts are a great choice to display your images. Prints are mounted to a lightweight foam board and edged in black or white. A very modern stylish way to showcase your senior portraits.
Another beautiful option for displaying your photos is a Canvas Wrap. Canvas Wraps give your images a contemporary high end look and make your senior photos look like a piece of art.
Storyboards are another popular choice among my senior clients. Storyboards give you the ability to display multiple images on one product. They are super fun and stylish and have a white or black edge.
Photo Books are a new modern way to display all of your gorgeous senior portrait images. Forget the old traditional album. I offer my clients a variety of Photo Book options, from hardcover coffee table books, to custom magazines and foldable accordion books. There's definitely a photo book that's a perfect fit for every client.
Hardcover Photo Books come in 2 sizes an 8x8 book and a 10x10 book. These books have lay flat binding and come in either a pearl or matte finish. An excellent choice for showing off your senior photos.
Accordion Books are super fun alternative to a traditional book. Accordions allow you to display multiple images in a fun small package. Great for displaying on a shelf or desk. They're available in 4x8 and 3x3.
Magazine Look Books are a fresh new option for my clients. You can now have your very own custom magazine to show off all of your different looks from your senior session.
Graduation Announcements are of course a must have product to purchase from your senior session. My grad cards are 5x7 printed on high quality pearl or matte paper and include white envelopes. Perfect as an invitation to your graduation ceremony or party.
Which products will you be purchasing from your senior session? Have questions about any of the products, give me a call and I'll be more than happy to answer them. 757-348-6027
Erica- Cox High School- Class of 2018. Erica's senior session was so much fun to photograph. We had a great time going to the different locations and exploring all the cool areas for her senior session. Erica chose two different settings for her session. She wanted an area with trees and greenery and the beach. She decided on Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach for the first location. Red Wing Park has some really pretty trails surrounded by trees and there's also a gorgeous green field with trees on either side. This park is a great place for a senior portrait session. For the second location Erica chose First Landing State Park Beach. The beach at First Landing is gorgeous, there's a wonderful wooden walkway with benches on the way to the beach. The benches allow you to have the sand dunes in the background of your photos. The beach itself is beautiful and one of the best places in the area to capture the sunset.
